Abstract :
The French-German Research Institute of Saint-Louis pursues a wide and long-term experimental program for railgun research. One of the accelerators in operation, the SR3-60 is an experiment to investigate the behavior of a segmented railgun. Due to its special construction, the rails of the three segments can be mounted in different configurations. Here experimental results from two series of shots with different rail configurations are reported.
