Title :
Control design in Model-Based Development and new SICE benchmark control design problem
Author_Institution :

Abstract :
The research committee on advanced powertrain control theory became a working group in research committee on model-based development for embedded control system of SICE control system division from the beginning of 2009. This presentation will provide the background and motivation for model-based development (MBD) and a new benchmark control problem, which requires the development of a control system to track the reference vehicle speed through engine torque demand control. The previous V6 spark ignition engine model is reused in the four wheels FF model. Challengers are requested to develop their control algorithm in the controller block without changing its inputs and the outputs.
