Abstract :
Gases are one of quite difficult environmental factor to treat. They are obstruction in humans life because they have amorphous shape and the are invisible. Additionally, some gases have no smell. Especially, generation of toxic gas near volcano and industrial waste processing facilities, is closely related to our life. These gases are hitherto detected on site survey by gas detection tube and spectrum sensor. However, there are some risks of investigator´s health on the work of survey in these method. In this research, we suggested analysis of these gases by calculating the absorption of gases in infrared bands using satellite remote sensing with MODIS sensor and investigated detection state in applying actual cases. As a result, we confirmed generation of hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide gases in several places such as hot springs, volcano and industrial waste illegal dumping site. These results suggest possibility of continuous observation of toxic gases by satellites and this may be useful tool on saving our safety.
