Abstract
Nowadays there exists a need of carrying out new features and improvements in the existing and future Tokamak devices as ITER or DEMO. The present capabilities of the control engineering and the development of fusion technologies allow the achievement new plasma configurations. These aspects, jointly with the increased performance of the computer hardware and the advances in plasma modelling and control, give a new impulse to the development of models and methods for the design of the scenario. In this sense, the present work is devoted to derive a low-order model of the plasma and surrounding conducting structure with the purpose of facilitating the control requirements in terms of plasma shape and current density profiles.
