Abstract :
To curtail the Electrode placement time and accelerate the process it is required to record two channels placed on right and left hemisphere of brain based on active region depending on mental task. Raw EEG signals are contaminated with various kinds of noise such as ocular artifacts (EOG) and high frequency muscle noise etc. This paper is an application of wavelet transform based on Filter bank approach whereby it is possible to extract the noise free sub-band signal from noisy EEG signal. The performance of the Extracted Sub-band Components has been evaluated by taking the Power Spectral density for left hemisphere as well as right hemisphere channel sub-band components.
