Abstract :
Graduated from the University of Bath 1975 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Joined BAE Systems working in various design roles. During this time I received an MSc for work done in industry on microwave GaAs FET oscillator. In 1985 joined Hewlett Packard (Computer Peripherals) in where I worked on analog design. 1991 joined Mitel Semiconductor (now Zarlink) initially worked on the design of several discrete audio frequency telephone interfaces for PBX, FAX machine or home use. I am now working on the design of RF systems to communicate from an implant within the body I have worked on testing an RF link from inside of a body model. The applications for implant communication systems are many and varied. I have worked with implant partners on the design of modules to be produced in volume. I have published several papers, and spoken at conferences, on communication with body implants and contributed to a book on the subject.
