  • Abstract
In order to achieve inter-enterprise heterogeneous systems integration in semantic level, an integrating framework for business collaboration was proposed in this paper. In the framework, a method to extract ontologies from XML documents automatically was introduced aimed at providing the foundation for heterogeneous system integration. To solve the semantic conflicts between ontologies, an algorithm suited for measuring similarity between extracted ontology and domain ontology was put forward. As a proof of concept, a business collaboration platform based on this framework was developed, and the operating principle of the platform was analyzed. A case from real world business collaboration scenario was provided to demonstrate effectiveness of the framework. Our proposed framework provides a feasible solution scheme for inter-enterprise business integration.
