Abstract :
Lots of previous researches concerning airlines focused on operation performance, where as they ignored the finance aspect that directly influenced their survivals. To evaluate airlines´ financial performance, we model the problem to be a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) one. And the same time, evaluation criteria are grasped form financial ratios, and presented with fuzzy numbers to show their values under given periods. Then a fuzzy multi-criteria group decision-making (FMCGDM) method is utilized to solve the evaluate problem of airlines´financial performance. Finally, we illustrate an empirical example of evaluating the financial performance of three domestic airlines in Taiwan.
