Abstract :
Case based design method was widely used in product design to increase the enterprise´s rapid response capabilities and competitiveness in current industrial environment. To solve the fuzzy problem existing in design process, vague sets based similarity evaluation method was used in CBR design. Design target was represented using a set of feature and interval, a vague membership function was given to simply the evaluation process. By choosing proper similarity measure algorithm, the rough case was retrieved for revise. CBR design process based on vague similarity evaluation was given. The developed method is illustrated through the application to a practical case.
