EMC Standards Activity

The US National Committee of the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) sponsored the ACEC meeting last November. The IEEE Service Center in Piscataway, New Jersey, USA provided the meeting venue with Don Heirman, ACEC Chairman, as the on-site host and convener of the meeting. Members from many parts of the world (Europe, China, and United Arab Emirates) were in attendance for the two-day meeting that discussed EMC issues across the many IEC Technical Committees. The committee is tasked to resolve issues and to advise the IEC Standardization Management Board (SMB), which manages the technical operation of the IEC, on actions they should consider. The SMB also assigns EMC issues that come before their committee to seek ACEC´s advice.
