  • Abstract
The primary goal of this research is the strategies of timing in technology transaction as well as the effect of behavior of both sides in the transaction. A model of game is set up to analyze the characteristic behavior, for the sake of maximizing the payoff, of the patentee and to study how the competitor´s attitude toward the delay influences the patentee. Results from the model show that the delay by the patentee can be reduced by some qualities of competitor such as anticipated production input and financial resources. This work also provides the policy maker of government with suggestion to avoid the loss of social welfare.
