Abstract :
This paper presents a method for dynamic simulation of a vertical motor based on Msc.nastran The Msc.nastran, which has some advantages for large type vertical motors finite element simulation as follow: simple analytical model, high calculation accuracy, and easy to combine with vibration modes. First, the basis of the solid model is described briefly. Next, a case study of vibration simulation of a large type vertical motor drive system is presented. By the vibration experiment, the lowest 5 natural frequencies and the related mode shapes of the motor have been obtained. The validity of the proposed method is proved by comparison with vibration experimental results. These vibration results are reasonable to help to acquire more precise dynamic character of the vertical motor and to validate design of the model.
