Abstract :
In order to decrease heavy oil consumption, based on old low-pressure burner and characters of production process of industrial furnace in a factory, a novel type of burner was designed for the optimum combustion and operation. The burner could automatically and completely adjust the rate of oil and air in some range, and reduce working strength of workers. Due to heavy oil atomized by two different media at the same time, perfect combustion could be performed. The experiment showed that the burner was able to lower average oil consumption 7-10% and reduce nitrogen oxide about 10% in the emission.
