Abstract :
By setting the polarisation angles different values, we can obtain the coherence maps and interferometric phase maps in arbitrary polarisation states using the coherence synthesis techniques. We also analyze the different polarisation-angles- sensitivity of different scatters. According to the experimental results and analysis, the change of coherence maps indicates the change of polarisation angle. The difference of the change manifests the different sensitivity to the angles. Scatters with different sensitivity can be distinguished from surrounding areas. The experiment results show that the volume scattering area and the surface scattering area are similarly dark in HV-HV and XY-XY coherence maps. However, surface scatters are more sensitive to the change of the angles than the volume scattering. That is to say, the volume scattering and the surface scattering mechanism can be distinguished. It´s promising to use the method in this paper for classification.
