Abstract
A new model for generation of coherent non-Gaussian clutter is proposed on basis of amplitude-phase separation method. First the non-coherent non-Gaussian clutter with specific autocorrelation function is generated by zero memory nonlinearity, and then a correlated uniform phase random process independent of the preceding amplitude process is devised to form coherent non-Gaussian clutter with assigned power spectrum density. The procedures for generation of the correlated uniform phase process are given, and the relation among the normalized autocorrelation functions of non-Gaussian amplitude process, uniform phase process and the desired complex non-Gaussian process is derived. The accuracy of the method is assessed by computer simulation results.
