Abstract
This paper proposes an improved speckle filter based on edge-enhance and iterative scheme to solve the difficulty between speckle reduction and feature preservation. The method detects the edges with ROA detector and enhances these edge pixels with a factor k before smoothing the images. To improve the filter performance, an iterative scheme is used in the GMAP solution. At the end of this paper, the experimental results of the real SAR image are presented to verify this algorithm.
