Abstract
This paper designs a Ku-band radar transceiver. With careful frequency planning, the designed wide-band transceiver displays good performances of some key characters, such as spectrum purity (phase noise and spur level) and wide bandwidth. The measurement results show that, in Ku band, the minimum frequency step of this radar transceiver is 10MHz and the bandwidth is 1GHz. Moreover, the spurious levels at both RF and LO are less than -60dBc and the phase noise level is less than -94 dBc/Hz@1KHz. The maximum frequency switching time is less than 10us.
