Abstract :
Multichannel radar systems alleviate the contradiction between the wide swath and high azimuth resolution. In order to implement even wider swath with high azimuth resolution, the paper investigates the parameter design and performance analysis of multi-channel ScanSAR mode. Furthermore, the restrictions of the multichannel system are also illuminated. As a next step, the effects caused by the difference of the amplitude and phase among receiving channels and non uniformly sampled signal in azimuth are analysed. Finally, the paper studies the imaging algorithm and gives a design example that enables the imaging of a 800 km wide swath with azimuth spatial resolution of 10 m.
