Abstract :
The present study aimed to investigate whether there were preview benefits in red stimuli and green stimuli and to explore the visual marking mechanism. The visual marking paradigm was applied to this study. The results showed that: a) There were preview benefits when we used red stimuli and green stimuli; and b) When new distractors appeared in the old locations of old items, reaction times (RTs) decreased, which supported the inhibition of location-based of old items.
