Abstract :
This article describes core competencies of retailer as dynamic competencies which consist of both extrinsic and intrinsic factors. Standardization and adaptation level of different factors vary in the process of international transfer of core competencies. Effective international transfer of core competencies will be influenced by environmental forces of host country as well as specific forces of retailers. Based on the analysis of forces of international transfer of core competencies, a theoretical framework about the process of international transfer of retailers´ core competencies is proposed.
