Abstract :
Currently in China, development of urban reused water is restrained mainly because of the extremely limited demand for reused water. This paper analyzed the influencing factors of demand for reused water and studied user´s utility function which contains water quality preference parameters. Based on some given hypotheses, the demand for reused water through can be determined by solving the problem of user´s utility maximization. Finally, based on the model of demand for reused water, the paper focused on some key factors for development of reused water industry, including water pricing, water quality standard and popularization.
