Abstract :
In order to reveal the mechanical behavior of solid steel reinforced concrete special-shaped columns, 5 specimens were designed for low cyclic reversed loading test. The failure patterns, loading-displacement hysteretic curves, displacement ductility, ultimate rotation capacity, energy dissipation capacity were obtained from the test. Experimental study results shown that solid steel reinforced concrete special-shaped columns have strong bearing capacity, displacement ductility good, large ultimate rotation capacity, full hysteretic loop, excellent seismic energy dissipation ability. In the end, the calculation formula about normal section bearing capacity and shear capacity are given. the calculating results are in good agreement with test .All of this may be help for engineering designation and construction.
