Analysis of Enterprise Downsizing Management Mode Based on 5S Management

Downsizing matters greatly for employees, enterprises, and the society. Therefore, it is indeed essential to establish a suitable and scientific downsizing management mode which can be widely used by companies. On the basis of existing research of downsizing mode, downsizing process, and 5S management, this paper proposes to classify downsizing into 5 phases, including seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu and shitsuke. Besides, it proposes to establish a downsizing management mode for enterprises based on 5S management. After analysis, it´ s easy to find that the mode can be used to avoid the possible risks caused by downsizing, and it is favorable to achieve the downsizing goal and is beneficial for enterprises to overcome the current crisis.
