  • Abstract
    It is key and difficult to determine the time to conduct preventive maintenance in preventive maintenance management, so far, there isn´t a satisfying solution. When related basic data is provided, effect-cost analysis based on life cycle cost is an effective way to choose preventive maintenance time of asphalt pavement. However, the practicality is influenced by complicated calculation. In view of this, preventive maintenance timing determination system of asphalt pavement was developed based on the theory above. The system was divided three steps, they were effect calculation, cost calculation and effect-cost calculation, the development and realization process were introduced, the application was still introduced by example. It was proved the system was right, effective and practical, was a good tool to the preventive maintenance timing determination of asphalt pavement.
