Abstract :
Wireless sensor networks can be applied in power engineering such as marine gas turbine to monitor engine working surroundings and sense certain data such as air pressure, temperature, compressor speed, and rotor vibration etc. Such data may be stored locally at nodes and be collected on demand. Data confidentiality usually needs to be protected to defend against information exposure upon retrieval, even though certain nodes may be physically failure or compromised by adversary. In this paper, we propose a lightweight scheme to protect in presence of node failure and compromising. Our scheme consists of robust data head formation and secure data aggregation by taking advantages of both homomorphic secret sharing and homomorphic encryption. Comparing with previous secure data collection schemes, our scheme is a integrally tailored design for storage-centric WSNs, and outperforms others with respect to robustness and lightweight, as justified by extensive analysis.
