Abstract :
Metal rubber is a new type of structure function material made of tensioned metal wires. Although it has excellent performance, it is not widely used for its complex characteristics. Previous attempts are mostly based on mathematical model. In this paper, artificial neural network (ANN) is introduced as an alternative to mathematical model. The result from ANN showed a good agreement with the experiment data. Now ANNs have been successfully used in our process of design and are helpful to reduce the cost.
