Abstract
Firm technological capability definitely has great significance on firm upgrading. This paper investigated the relationship between firm technological capability and firm upgrading based on 717 valid samples. The results show that technological shifting capability in firm technological capabilities is significantly positively associated with product upgrading while technological operating capability and technological acquiring capability are neither significantly associated with product upgrading. Technological operating capability and technological shifting capability are significantly positively associated with process upgrading but technological acquiring capability is not significantly associated with process upgrading. Then this paper discussed hypothesis testing results. Finally we pointed out the limitations and future research direction.
