Abstract :
In this paper, the finite element analysis approach is utilized to perform heat transfer analysis to obtain the steady state temperature distribution of SF6 gas cooled-insulated power transformer resulting from conditions imposed on its boundaries, which represents how temperature varies with position in the transformer. The obtained results are compared with measured temperature data collected during the testing program carried out by the transformer manufacturer.
