Abstract :
The control of voltage and frequency of Diesel Generator (DG) is a challenging task. Fast control actions are required to tackle this problem. This paper presents a proposed technique to choose the best variable to control the whole system since the whole system is multi-input multi-output. A complete non linear model of DG system is developed for simulation study. The system performance of the open loop, conventional controller and optimal controller are analyzed in a comparative study.
