Abstract :
An ultra-broadband light source for optical coherence tomography (OCT) was obtained by supercontinuum generated in combination of 120m highly-nonlinear fiber, 4.5km dispersion-shifted fiber and 2km single-mode fiber. 140.6nm 3dB bandwidth around 1300nm was obtained. 4.1 µm longitudinal resolution could be obtained theoretically by using this light source for OCT system.
