Abstract :
The deployment of 10 Gb/s RZ-DBPSK transponders has led to high capacity transoceanic systems with large repeater spacing. To satisfy future capacity demands more complex undersea network topologies will be required for high spectral efficiency systems that operate at 40 G and 100 G rates.
