Abstract :
A scheme of header extraction using semiconductor optical amplifier and Mach-Zehnder-Interferometer was proposed. Numerical and simulation show that more than 18dB contrast ratio could be achieved at packet rate 100Gbit/s. Parameters of the SOA-MZI and the input signal are discussed to optimize the performance of the scheme.
