Abstract
We demonstrate error free transmission of a single 2.5Gbit/s NRZ data channel at 1550nm over 1 km of free space, and the transmitted beam is detected by APD. With the change of transmitting optical power, BER, SNR and eye diagrams of the detected signals are measured.
