Abstract :
Barrier discharge consists of many and repeated micro-discharges. Therefore the overall discharge phenomena are governed by such individual micro-discharge. We developed an electric circuit simulation program for calculating barrier discharge phenomena. This program considers the discharge probability of gap, parameters of micro discharge, size of barrier discharge device and electric circuit conditions. The calculated discharge powers agreed well with the experimental results, and discharge current wave forms containing many pulses were represented by simulations. The program can be used as a tool of the design work of barrier discharge devices, and also be used to discuss what happens in the barrier discharge from the current wave form.
