Abstract :
Electrical breakdown in some special engineering situations is discussed. These include Surface insulation degradation due to discharges from small condensation-induced water drops, partial discharges in very small voids, breakdown in low pressure gas or metal vapours, and molten metal deformation induced breakdowns.
