Abstract :
This paper deals with the calculation of the net emission coefficients and partial characteristics of radiation in thermal plasmas of air, nitrogen and carbon dioxide, respectively in the plasma temperature range between 1000 and 35 000 K at various pressures. Contribution of molecular species to the total absorption and emission is discussed. Comparisons of radiation properties for the above plasmas are presented. It follows from the results that the net emission coefficients of air are very similar to those of the pure nitrogen plasma, while carbon dioxide is more emissive in comparison with air and nitrogen.
