Abstract
Most start-ups face myriad issues, even before opening their doors. This includes getting financing, hiring the right people, finding office space, and--importantly--getting the company´s intellectual property under control and adequately protected. The Web extra at http://youtu.be/32VJau3FG6Q is an audio recording of Brian M. Gaff reading his Computing and the Law column, in which he discusses the myriad issues that most start-ups face before even opening their doors, including getting financing, hiring the right people, finding office space, and--importantly--getting the company´s intellectual property under control and adequately protected.
