Abstract :
The Peer-to-Peer streaming media transmission technology has become a hot spot of computer research field. This paper introduces the architecture of P2P streaming media transmission system based on neighborhood optimum selection, studies acquisition and transmission of streaming media data and lays stress on the neighborhood optimum selection. Various heterogeneous media resources will be collected by two main data acquisition approaches, converted by format converter and partitioned by bits. It designs a neighborhood optimum selection algorithm which the neighborhood is managed by its connection status. This algorithm is helpful to the uniform management for the distributed and local peers. Then it designs the P2P streaming media transmission prototype system framework. Moreover, the experimental results have verified such a P2P streaming media transmission system, based on neighborhood optimum selection algorithm, is feasible and effective.
