Abstract :
In order to fulfill increasing individual and various customers demands to products, characteristics of typical product design patterns are introduced and their respective limitations are analyzed in this paper firstly. Based on this, one new interactive product innovative design pattern based on knowledge engineering (IPIDP-KBE) is put forward, which is compared with mass customization design in detail. Furthermore, a system framework based on IPIDP-KBE pattern as well as its key technologies is also presented in the following section. This system framework consists of four parts: user interface layer, application layer, business logic layer and knowledge server layer. The presented IPIDP-KBE pattern can well support visible interaction between customers and enterprises in conceptual and embody designing levels, and provides designing guidance based on constraints of product functions and structures under support of case-based reasoning and rule reasoning knowledge bases for customers.
