Abstract :
This paper describes the synthesis of Fe3O4/Poly[3-(trimethylamlno)ethyl methacrylate iodine] (PTMAI) /CdTe bifunctional nano gene vector for targeting DNA delivery. In this approach, Poly[2-(dimethylamlno)ethyl methacrylate] (PDMA) was grafted on the Fe3O4 nanoparticles by surface-initiated transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). The ternary amine groups of PDMA can be alkylated by the iodomethane to obtain PTMAI. The quaternary amine groups of PTMAI on the nanoparticles can adsorb the Plasmid DNA and CdTe nanocrystals with carboxyl group by self-assembly approach to form the nanobiomaterial. CdTe nanoparticles could label Plasmid DNA and magnetic nanoparticles could target DNA delivery. The use of the water-solubility magnetic Fe3O4/PTMAI nanocomposite particles for the controlled release and directed DNA delivery in biological systems is important.
