Abstract :
Network Computer (NC) has certain computing and storage capacity. The issues of high maintenance costs, complex fault maintenance and security vulnerabilities impede further promotion. It is especially true in environment that is short of computer maintenance knowledge. In this paper, according to faults characteristics of NC, these faults are divided into logic fault and exception fault; logic fault and exception fault are maintained by remote reconfiguration and context recovery respectively. So a remote fault maintenance solution (RFMS) is proposed based on Internet Reconfigurable Logic (IRL) and Checkpointing mechanism. An application is implemented based on the solution. Experiments show that the solution not only makes use of network to inspect NC in separated area, but also utilizes diagnosis resource providing by separated expert knowledge to realize remote fault diagnosis and maintenance.
