Abstract
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technique is capable of suppressing inter-symbol interference (ISI) caused by multi-path propagation, confronting multi-path fading and improving the efficiency of spectrum resource. Dynamic resource reallocation algorithm is a kind of important technology in OFDM system and plays a key role in improving the spectrum of OFDM effectively. Based on the advantages of optimal principle of BER, Lagrange multiplier method and total transmission power is certain, adaptive power allocation algorithm in OFDM system can achieve optimal power distribution through much iteration. However, the algorithm is difficult to solve. In order to simplify the process of algorithm solving, an improved adaptive power allocation algorithm is proposed, which improves the algorithm by mainly using an approximate value to Q function and simplifies the algorithm complexity. Computer simulation shows that the BER of improved adaptive power allocation algorithm is decreased and the solution is relatively easy.
