Abstract
Passive interferometers use phase lock oscillators (PLOs) to perform a coherent demodulation of the signal collected by the antennas. Phase noise in such PLOs may contaminate the measurements and, eventually, produce image errors. This work is devoted to describe the mechanism by which phase noise may turn into measurement errors in order to set sound phase noise and phase drift requirements.
