Abstract :
Assembly, Integration and Testing (AIT) is the process in which the subsystems are integrated and tested in a particular sequence to realize the full spacecraft. It involves detailed interface and performance checks to be carried out on different subsystems. The realization of Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) is one of the major tasks while evolving the full spacecraft. This paper briefly describes a list of activities carried out during integration and testing of CARTOSAT-1 spacecraft. It brings out the noise reduction techniques followed to achieve EMC among different subsystems of the spacecraft. The excellent on-orbit performance of IRS-P5 is the final testimony to the measures adopted on ground.
