  • Abstract
Precision electro-optic sensors are developed to measure the spacecraft attitude. Advanced spacecraft applications such as communications, remote sensing, cartography etc. pose a stringent demand on these sensors in terms of high accuracies. In order to meet these requirements, the sensors employ state-of-the-art signal detection and processing techniques. These sensors, being highly sensitive, are susceptible to EMI and therefore their performance may be severely affected in the spacecraft environment due to the presence of a number of potential sources. Since these sensors incorporate high speed switching devices and power supplies in their design, they can also be a source of EMI. This paper intends to bring out the comprehensive plan adapted in terms of design techniques, Evaluation methods, etc in achieving Electro-Magnetic compatibility for Electro-Optic sensors.
