Abstract :
This paper gives a comprehensive review on the present status and recent trends in optoelectronic components related to optical fibre based system applications. Focus is laid on transmitting, amplifying and detecting devices including optoelectronic integrated circuits. Systems as well as technology aspects are addressed.
