From the editor-in-chief July 2014

We are excited to bring you yet another Special Issue, this one featuring Signal Processing for Remote Sensing. It is our goal to provide collective insight on specific subjects approximately twice a year while maintaining a broader variety of topics for our readers throughout the remainder of the year. In this issue, our Guest Editors, Dr. Kulpa and Dr. Yanovsky worked dillegently to identify seven fascinating papers from various experts in their field. I would like to thank our Guest Editors for their hard work and dedication and begin this issue by providing a brief synopsis of the background of each of these talented researchers.
