Abstract :
Traditionally the protection switching are performed in the manner of ignoring the class of service flows in a connection because of the cost and complexity considerations. In this paper, we will study the protection and restoration mechanisms for flows with different priorities in each connection. The simulation results show that the proposed mechanism can achieve significant improvement on several performance parameters.
