The higher education has entered into the mass stage, and the original talent cultivation mode is difficult to meet the current society requirement for inter-disciplinary talents. In response to the problem above, combining with the characteristic of automation, this paper discussed the connection between scientific research and teaching, suggested and built the talent cultivation mode combined with scientific research and teaching, expatiated on the positive significance of the teaching mode of research-promoting-teaching on higher education reform. The way of completing the actual engineering is used to cultivate the specialty concept and engineering ability of the undergraduate. The talent cultivation mode combined with scientific research and teaching is carried out in the process of practice teaching, by cultivating practical skills as the main-thread, carrying out multi-level and open laboratory as the teaching method, and cultivating high-quality and inter-disciplinary talents as the target.
