Abstract :
A distributed control net based on low voltage PLCC (Power Line Carrier Communication) transceiver PL2101 was built. Measures of advancing communication reliability such as fast routing lookup configuration, net identification code and CRC code were excogitated, so the net can watch 255 field bittern pumps within 2 kilometer at 500 bps with no transmission repeaters. The paper discusses the network topology, routing algorithm and data frames, presents hardware & software design of the field controller used in a saltern bittern pumping system.
